I want you to ask yourself this question and really think about your answer. Think of a specific time when you have heard God speak to you, whether in a dream, thought, picture, or even an audible voice. Hearing God’s voice is something we can all practice because the truth is that God is talking to us all the time! In Jeremiah 33:3 it says, “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” (ESV) This verse is telling us that we can hear from God! It’s easy! In fact all we have to do is listen and ask! Now, asking is easy but we struggle to listen. Life moves quickly and it’s extremely easy to get caught up in its rapid pace—but in order for us to hear from God we have to listen for Him! Sometimes this means just taking a couple of minutes to stop, breathe, and listen to nature. Even right now—stop, take a deep breath, and thank God for something or talk to Him about your day! Listen for His voice.
Now as you spend time listening for God’s voice, I have a request. I have a special project for Conference next year that I have been asked to work on and I need help. I need
stories. Stories about encounters with God, either from your life or the lives of kids around you. My project focuses on kids and youth, so anyone 18 or younger. If you could, either mail or email me your stories of how God has spoken to you or someone you know. Tell me about the amazing things you or someone around you has experienced from God! All stories in my project will be completely anonymous—but I need your help on my project. At church, if you know of kids who have heard God’s voice, if your brother or sister has experienced God in an amazing way, let me know. You can email me at kitkatkmack@gmail.com. I really want to hear your stories of how you’ve experienced God. Remember Jeremiah 33:3. All we have to do is ask and listen and God will tell us amazing things!
